Hero Wins the Inaugural NRF Innovation Award
Last week Hero was the proud recipient of the prestigious NRF Innovation Award for engagement technology at Shop.org in Las Vegas. Awarded by a panel of judges including representatives from Fung Capital, Upfront Ventures, Lacoste and Cole Haan, the award is a testament to Hero’s rapidly growing impact in retail across US and Europe, engaging customers and pioneering a new way for associates to sell.
“It is exciting to celebrate these pioneering companies that are leveraging technology and digital innovation to reimagine the retail experience,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said. “These recipients represent the true spirit of innovation. The extraordinary new products, services and experiences they have created are poised to play a transformative role in the retail industry.”
“These winners are examples of how much technology and innovation were front and center at this year’s conference,” said Lacoste Vice President of Retail and Digital Chris Hardisty, one of the judges for the awards. “They are fierce competitors who highlight how much there is to be excited about when it comes to the evolution of retail and what the future holds.”
Just hours before receiving the NRF award, Hero was also being recognized by industry-bible Retail Week. At the .Tech Awards London, Hero scooped the award for Excellence in Customer Experience, beating the likes of Starbucks, Pretty Little Thing and McDonald’s to the prize.
