We’re thrilled to welcome Brock Cardiner as Hero’s first-ever Content Director. Cardiner joins Hero from Highsnobiety, where over the past eight years he built and led the global editorial team, establishing the brand as the authority in streetwear and mens style.
During his tenure at Highsnobiety, Cardiner increased traffic to a peak of around 15 million monthly visitors, leading the publication to become one of the most visited and trusted voices in culture. In addition, Cardiner crafted some of the magazine’s most successful and recognizable content franchises including Cop or Drop, the Highsnobiety Crowns, and Under the Radar, alongside working with cultural leaders such as A$AP Rocky and LeBron James on innovative video features.
Elsewhere, launched today under Brock’s direction, tells original stories around the people, companies, and ideas shaping the new consumer experience. At launch, Elsewhere includes in-depth stories with Josh Luber, the co-founder of StockX, and Maria Raga, the CEO of Depop.

Since the start of the year, the Hero team has grown to nearly 100 people across London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In the past six months, brands including Herman Miller, Deciem and UNTUCKit have joined Levi’s, rag & bone, and Credo Beauty to bring virtual shopping experiences to millions of online shoppers with Hero. The company recently announced partnerships with both Google and Shopify, following a $10m Series A funding round in 2019.
